Announcing the New Disney Avenue Mobile Music Player Page

By Keith Mahne

The time has finally come to tell you all about our brand new Disney Avenue Mobile Music Player Page. After hours of work so that our famous Disney Avenue Music Player can be accessible to you on a mobile device, it brings us great joy to finally announce the completion of this new section of DisneyAvenue.com. Allow me to fill you in on all the details in today's new article...

One of the most important things that people come to expect when they visit us here at Disney Avenue is that magical Disney music playing in the background. There is nothing like putting on a set of headphones and slipping out of reality for awhile. The Disney Avenue Music Player allows you to do that BUT only from a desktop computer as the player isn't compatible with a mobile device. That is until now!

If you have been a regular visitor of ours, you probably are aware of our recent failed attempt at creating a new music player from scratch that worked on any device. Although I loved the look of that music player, it only worked on certain browsers and had too many technical issues. So I came up with our current way of allowing all of our tracks to be played on mobile devices while keeping our current desktop music player as well. I created a page where all of our tracks can be accessed from any device...

Simply click on the Disney Avenue Mobile Music Page tab under the banner and there they are! Now that I live in Central Florida, I tend to visit the beaches often. My wife and I went to Clearwater for the day recently. I made sure to bring a Bluetooth speaker and you can bet that, aside from a few Jimmy Buffet songs here and there, we had this page open and the magical Disney Park Loops and instrumental versions of our favorite Disney songs kicking. Talk about relaxing! Here is what you'll see when you open it...

I broke our over 250 tracks up into 50 tracks per page. I originally was going to have them all on one page but after I had over 100, the page would often crash. Having just 50 at a time seems to have fixed that issue and cuts back on load time. So when you scroll to the bottom you'll see how to navigate to the rest of them. There is also album art next to each track which I really loved from our previous music player...

Here is a little tip I learned after a few times using it from my phone that I thought I'd pass along. When you are on a mobile device and click play to start a track it will look like this...

Simply click those little arrows at the bottom, right-hand corner to allow you to navigate your device while continuing to listen to the track...

Just thought I'd mention that. As we add new music to our collection, we will continue to update both our desktop player...

...and the new mobile one mentioned here today. In fact, we are about to release Chapter 3 of our Disneyland Magical Audio Tour series by Chris Lyndon on Main Street USA which is truly delightful and I can't wait for you to hear it. We always add those musical additions to the player once it goes live so keep an eye out for that.

We definitely welcome your feedback and suggestions and hope that you have come to enjoy the Disney Avenue Music Player as much as we do. I think it really adds to your experience here on DisneyAvenue.com. Thanks for taking a second to read this little update and for being a part of this wonderful community of Disney fans.
