When this show first aired on April 15, 1962, it had been awhile since Walt Disney had taken his viewers to Disneyland. Even so, he knew there had to be something special to warrant an entire hour in the Park. Walt and his television team came up with a double barreled idea — show off Disneyland at night and invite celebrity guest stars to entertain. Disneyland After Dark is not only an enjoyable look at the Park as it's lit up at night, but it's also a wonderful collection of performances.
