A Video Tribute to Walt Disney - The Ultimate Dreamer

By Keith Mahne

Walt Disney is a legend, a folk hero of the 20th century. His worldwide popularity was based upon the ideas which his name represents: imagination, optimism and self-made success in the American tradition. Walt Disney did more to touch the hearts, minds and emotions of millions of Americans than any other man in the past century. Through his dreams, he brought joy, happiness and a universal means of communication to the people of every nation. Join us as we celebrate a man who has given and continues to give so much joy to so many with this video tribute to Walt Disney, the ultimate dreamer...

During his 43-year Hollywood career, which spanned the development of the motion picture medium as a modern American art and made the theme park industry what it is today, Walt Disney established himself and his product as a genuine part of Americana. Younger generations don't always realize that there was a man behind the mouse, a man of character and optimism. The video tribute we put together below features touched-up footage of Walt throughout his lifetime. In it you will see personal moments with his family, his love of trains, the Disney Studios he founded, and, of course, the construction and early years of Disneyland and Walt Disney World. It is my belief that video tributes like this one helps to keep Walt's spirit alive for generations to come. It is with great pleasure to present Walt Disney - The Ultimate Dreamer...
