Disney Avenue's Take the Mickey Quiz

Want to test your Disney knowledge, win fun prizes and prove you’ve earned your ears? Then join us on our brand new show called Take the Mickey Quiz. Disney Avenue is thrilled to announce a new addition to our website and podcast offerings, the Take the Mickey Quiz, a Disney trivia game show podcast. Learn all about the show, find out how you can be a contestant, and listen to the very first episode in today's new article...

Contestants will show their Disney knowledge while competing for prizes including a Disney Pin and one of Jim Korkis’ amazing books.

Sean Mobley, your host, will come to you every other week with a fresh 15-question quiz and a new contestant.

Don’t worry if you don’t get everything correct. Part of the fun of Disney Trivia is learning about the awesome stories behind the parks, attractions, resorts, films, and people who make the Disney experience magical.

The contestant (or contestants! Couples and/or friends are welcome to participate together as a team) will work through 15 multiple-choice questions of increasing difficulty, staying on each one until they get it right. Here’s the catch: for each incorrect guess, they lose a point.

For example, let’s say the question is:

What is the name of the trader who will gladly sell you a shrunken head on the Jungle Cruise?

A. Trader Joe
B. Trader Sam
C. Trader Gus
D. Trader Tim

The contestant can get a maximum of four points if they guess A correctly on the first answer. But if the contestant guessed C, Trader Gus, they would drop down to three points for the question and get to answer again until they finally answered A.

The prize is based on the total number of points after all 15 questions have been asked. If you score the minimum possible, 15 points, you would win a "gag gift" photo of a pin from our host Sean’s collection. BUT... if you ace the quiz and get 55 points, you would receive an e-book copy of one of Jim Korkis’ amazing Disney history books such as one of his Vault of Walt books or even the incredible Secret Stories of Walt Disney World...the choice is yours!

You have some “Keys to the Kingdom” to help you out along the way. These “Keys to the Kingdom” are lifelines, like the 50/50, that will assist you in your score.

The best way to learn how to play is to listen to the show and try it for yourself. Disney Avenue founder and host of the Disney Avenue Podcast, Keith Mahne is the first to Take the Mickey Quiz, and you can hear him on the inaugural episode right now.
