25 STUNNING Photos Atop Cinderella Castle You Have To See To Believe

By Keith Mahne

We all know that special feeling of walking down Main Street and seeing the amazingly beautiful Cinderella Castle as she pulls us in like a bug to light. Gazing at her beauty and seeing the castle at ground level is one thing, but how about the other way around? By that I mean seeing the rest of the Magic Kingdom from the vantage point of Tinker Bell. Have you ever wanted to know what it's like to climb to the top of the castle and fly across the sky? How about knowing what it looks like peering down that cable right before take off? Wouldn't you love to know the answers to these questions? I know I sure did, and now you will too. Join us in today's new article as we experience the nightly journey Tinker Bell makes prior to flying across the night sky in these 25 absolutely stunning photos from the top of Cinderella Castle. It's a view like none other and this one you'll have to see to believe...

Imagine for a moment that you are now Tinker Bell. It's a few minutes before the nighttime fireworks go off and it's time to make your way to the top of Cinderella Castle and fly over the Magic Kingdom. As you can see in the two photos above, you've made your way to the top patio and now it's time to hit the narrow stairs to the very top of the castle. Before we head up, let's take in the view around us with these daytime views from the patio...

Cast members prepare fireworks that will soon go off near the castle

Now it's time to make the journey to the zip cord...

A word of advice from a former Tinker Bell

Think of all the past Tinker Bells who have climbed this ladder and into the tiny room we are about to see. It is said that this tiny area fits only 3 people: Tinker Bell and two cast members who assist in her nightly journey through the skies of the Magic Kingdom...

Notice the phone, all the writing on the walls, and the thermometer

The view from up here is truly spectacular whether it's day or night...

And now....it's time to make the jump...

WOW!!! Amazing, isn't it?!? Look at that zip cord!! Could you make the jump?!?!

Thanks to Disney Avenue Facebook page follower Lew Morris, we have a great shot of where Tinkerbell lands...

Lew tells us that "The platform where the "catch area" was set at is to the right of the pic (those guard rails are the start of it). It was a steel mesh platform with a cushion at the end, but THAT isn't the part that "caught her." We had to, in a very weird way. Also, in the photos below, you'll see some old ride vehicles we used to pass by when climbing the roof to the Tink catch area. This was in 2008, so don't know if they are still there or not"...

If it's one thing we know for sure it's that Tinker Bell sure does have nerves of steel. Here's to all the Tinker Bells that have made the journey over the years and brought a little pixie dust to us all...

  5. Can you tell us something about the myth that Tinkerbell has to be played by a man because a girl is to light, fragile or whatever?

    1. I never heard about a myth but I do know that there have been both male and female people who have flown as Tink. I even have a picture of it. Check the comments on the Disney Avenue Facebook page for this article, I'll post it there.

    2. Not true, I used to work at WDW up until a month ago and I have seen closeup pictures of her, she is definitely a woman. A very tall one though.

  6. Tink needs to be no more than 110 pounds (and no less than about 100 pounds). She needs to be a woman over the age of 18. She also has to endure an audition that involves at least 10 pull ups. Oh, and she has to be a woman.
