Why You Should Stay At Disney's Pop Century Resort

By Genevieve Roberts

If you are looking for a fun resort to stay at during your visit to Walt Disney World vacation, look no further than Disney’s Pop Century Resort. It’s an incredibly fun place for your entire family. It’s filled with decades of American pop culture and you can’t help but walk around and say, “Whoa, I remember that!” Let's explore some great reasons to consider a stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort during your next visit to Walt Disney World in today's new article...

Whether it's a bright red yo-yo, a yellow Walkman or a Mr. Potato Head, you will be reminded of your childhood. It’s a great collection of all things Americana.

Representing half of the 20th century, this resort boasts 2,880 rooms. A fun fact is Disney had begun building the other half of the century but never finished it. It’s what we now know as The Little Mermaid rooms at the Art of Animation Resort.

When you are visiting you feel like you have been dropped in a time capsule. You are reminded of fads you forgot about, dance crazes you loved, and catch phrases that will get stuck in your head again.

You can even teach your kid something they can make that's super cool. They say every fad will eventually be in style again, right?!?

The buildings are divided into decades. They range from the 1950s to the 1990s. Before you book your room make sure to make a list of your room priorities. It should be noted these rooms are spread out.

Some rooms are closer to the buses than others, and some are far from the pools. The ones that are near the pools tend to be very loud. Take a mental note of what is important to you.

Similar to other Walt Disney World value resorts, Pop Century doesn’t offer huge bells and whistles. How much time do guests really spend in the rooms anyways?

The guestrooms measure 260 square feet and offer two double beds. They also have a vanity area with a sink, a bathroom, a small dresser, a table with chairs, a fridge, and free WIFI.

Guests are welcomed to the resort by checking-in the Classic Hall. The walls of the lobby are covered in the most wonderful moments from our past.

There you will also find the food court. This eatery is one of the best quick service areas in any Disney resort. There you will find a bakery, convenience market, pizza, pasta, and burgers. This resort also has the option of pizza delivery until midnight.

Located near the Hippy Dippy Pool, you will see the bar called Petals. There you can find an assortment of adult beverages.

One of the things guests love about this resort is the pool. It has some of the most creative pools on site. Their three pools are the shapes of a bowling pin, computer, and a flower. Plus it has a kiddie pool for your mini guests.

Getting around from the resort is super easy as well. Just hop aboard one of the free Disney transportation buses. They will take you to the four theme parks, two water parks or Disney Springs for some shopping and a bite to eat.

They resort is incredibly well themed, fun for the whole family, and good for your pocketbook. Now go check it out in person, and you will quickly see why guests love it so much.
